As an economist, consultant and trade diplomat, I have consistently delivered results to the projects and organizations I've been a part of. As the Senior Economist (First Secretary) at the Mexican Office for the Implementation of the USMCA in Washington, D.C., I worked first-hand with U.S. and Canadian counterparts in cooperation initiatives to promote nearshoring in Mexico; led the office's economic intelligence efforts to represent Mexico in trade remedy negotiations as well as lobbying efforts with the U.S. Government, Congress and other private and public stakeholders; developed export promotion strategies that led to the signing of collaboration agreements with U.S.’ retailers such as Amazon, and created the first interactive self-assessment platform for exporters in Mexico, which altogether allowed 300 + SMEs to identify and start their export journey. As a member and contributor of the Mexican Council for Foreign Affairs (COMEXI) I have authored articles in international journals and national newspapers, and made appearances in nation-wide tv programs and news shows.

Free trade has proven to be an engine for prosperity in Mexico. My mission is to help state governments and stakeholders assess their potential and implement policies to succesfully take advantage of the unprecedented opportunities created by the USMCA's entry into force and the recent nearshoring initiatives.
